Hope for the municipal theatre?

The mayor of Torrevieja, José Manuel Dolón, has asked for authorisation from the official school of architects to sign the ‘end of work’ certificate for el teatro municipal. This is the certificate which is required before the opening certificate or ‘licencia de apertura’ can be obtained. The mayor explained that during the time that the theatre has been closed the technicians have been working on the project to ensure that it can open with all the necessary licences that it must have. ‘We haven’t been sleeping,’ he explains. ‘But we had to do what was required. Lost god son A close friend made me godmother to her son when he was born 12 years ago.  I have taken my responsibility very seriously and have made a point to be in his life.  Since then my friend and her husband have split up, her husband moved to Australia and my god son went with him.  I have lost touch with his mother.  I wrote to the boy’s father saying I still wanted to be in my god son’s life, but he said he wants to cut all ties.  What can I do? Sadly there is nothing you can do until the boy reaches 16, when you could try and get in touch then via Facebook.  No doubt he will remember you, but four years for a youngster is a long time.  I imagine this boy will have other things on his mind when you do get in touch, so don’t expect for there to be any big reunion.  If the father is preventing all contact, I am afraid you might have to let this go, and try to move on yourself. I want to say sorry I am ashamed to say that when I was at school I was unkind to a girl in my class.  I don’t know why I did it, but it happened.  Now, years later I think about it and am very...

Brian from Torrevieja asks: I apologize but I think you have covered this before but I can’t find the original article. I bought a new Lenove laptop running Windows 10 which came with a trial version of Microsoft 365 Office app which was already installed. I rather like it but it is now saying it will expire in 14 days and its €100 to buy which seems a bit excessive as I only write the odd letter now and then. I have tried the free Open Office but its way too complicated for what I want to do and I remember you recommending an alternative. Aunty Says: Hello Brian. There is free basic word processing app bundled with Windows called Wordpad. This will do pretty much does everything that most of us require, plus it is laid out very similar to Microsoft Word. Click in on the start icon and type WORDPAD and then double click on the top one in the list that pops up. Josh via email asks: Hello, I have read many times your suggestions to run Malwarebytes but when I have run the scan the number of items listed is very long and very daunting! Are there any things I should watch out for? Aunty Says: Hi Josh. Malwarebytes will find things like Spyware and Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPS) and it will often find a...
