Music for Saturday nights in Orihuela Costa

The Councillor for Tourism and Festivities, Mariola Rocamora, has presented the “OH! Festival ” a musical program for Saturday nights in August on Playa Flamenca promenade.
The performances will start at 10pm and feature different musical groups. The audience will be able to watch the shows for free following all the hygiene and health and safety measures against Covid-19 (mandatory use of a mask, hydro-alcoholic gel available to attendees, controlled access, limited capacity and social distancing).
Therefore, a maximum capacity of 200 people has been established with a separation of one and a half meters between chairs and rows, so it is essential to book in advance to confirm attendance.
The programme started on Saturday (1st August) with Either One, a semi-acoustic pop-rock band with songs in English and Spanish. This Saturday, 8th August, the band Conecta2 will bring a wide repertoire loaded with the best versions of pop and rock, both national and international, covering the 70s, 80s and 90s with songs by artists such as Queen, The Police, AC / DC, Fito and Fitipaldis, Tequila, Social Security, Bruno Mars or Daft Punk.
Jazz will also feature in the “OH! Festival” with a performance of Marengo Jazz on 15th August, an elegant and classic quartet with swing key, bossanova and soul that mixes piano, double bass, drums and voice. On Saturday 22nd August, the Oriolan group La Cochera will add a flamenco fusion and rumba touch, ending the program on Saturday 29th with the pianist Pedro Contreras, who will travel through the history of cinema with the unforgettable soundtracks of the recently deceased pianist, composer and music producer Ennio Morricone, winner of two Óscar awards and the 2020 Prince of Asturias Award.
