A British man is believed to be on the run from Guardia Civil after a fatal stabbing in the early hours of this morning (Friday) in Ciudad Quesada.
The incident took place at around three in the morning in an urbanization of Ciudad Quesada. Two British men, who had been at a party, got into an argument and later when they were alone together, it is alleged that one man stabbed the other in the neck causing his death. The man is believed to have then fled the scene.
The victim apparently went outside to seek help but collapsed and nothing could be done to save his life.
Guardia civil attended the scene and an investigation is underway.
The judicial commission was also called upon to allow removal of the body and police are now conducting interviews and gathering information in order to find and arrest the alleged murderer.
Initial reports indicate that two British couples were partying and the dispute that caused the fatal assault occurred when the two men had been left alone.
It is not yet known if the man has been brought into custody but the investigation continues.
