200 students from a school in Elda confined after “highly contagious” covid strain detected

Confinement measures imposed by health authorities on the Carmelitas school will see all children aged 3, 4 and 5 sent home for isolation until Tuesday.
The Ministry of Health revealed that from today until February 23rd, 200 students from the Carmelitas de Elda school will be under confinement after detecting the presence of an outbreak caused by a “highly contagious” strain of covid-19.
The news was shared in a statement issued by the management of the school to all parents of affected students. Those students must now remain at home and take extreme precautionary measures with all of those living in the same household to stop the spread of the virus. Health authorities will call the students over the next few days to make arrangements to carry out the PCR tests.
