Spain Extends Retirement Age

The Spanish Government is promising to make a pension reform that will save 30 million euros. The changes are being made with baby-boomers in mind, those born between the late 1950s and mid-1970s.
The new rules to access retirement come into force in 2022 and will mean those affected will work longer and receive less money in order to prop up a system that is no longer sustainable. The changes will delay retirement age as by 2021 retirees will have to be 67 years old.
