President of the Valencian Community Ximo Puig revealed earlier this week that 42 new vaccination points will be immediately enabled across the region. These will be operated on an appointment basis and will be located in places such as sports centres, retirement homes and hospitals. The new vaccination points will enable 147 teams to administer booster doses and will work by appointment, patients will be notified by SMS or by phone, all with the aim of decongesting Primary Care and speeding up immunization.
Puig also announced the elimination of the exemption to display a covid cert at establishments catering for less than 50 people.
The president asks citizens for “maximum prudence” and to celebrate Christmas avoiding crowds and massive family gatherings.
Puig has requested authorization from the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV) to require the COVID passport in order to enter the interior of all types of hotel and restaurant establishments, regardless of their capacity, as well as to access cinemas, gyms and sports centres. Once approved, the measure will be in place until the end of January.
