If you used to watch Wacky Races then this might now be the next best thing. Los Autos Locos is the Spanish equivalent to Wacky Races and it made an appearance on the streets of Torrevieja on Sunday 11th December. The Wacky Race took place on Calle Bazán, which was full of people who came to witnessthe mad cars and all their occupants descend down the street.
The race boasted its very own Penelope Pitstop, Dastardly and Muttley and an original Flintstones vehicle. There were a couple of pirates on wheels, and a Buzz Lightyear. The winner with more than two passengers was Los Afumarraos and the winner of the two-passenger car was Team Chicken. The event began with an animated show including the characters from the cartoon series itself. If you missed this colourful event this year, it’s definitely one to book into your calendar for 2017.
