Health authorities have raised suggestions that Christmas dinners be restricted to six people and that the curfew be 1am.
The Government will also ask citizens to minimize social gatherings as part of the draft recommendations that it is currently preparing.
Proposals include limiting festive gatherings of family and friends across Spain to 6 people and extending the night curfew to 1am (until 6am) on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
The draft ‘Proposals for public health measures against Covid-19 for the celebration of the Christmas holidays’, was seen by news agency Europa Press which shared details today.
The draft document will also recommend that Christmas gatherings be limited to those who already live in the same household. If someone from another household is present, gatherings will be limited to a maximum of six with all social distancing measures to be observed, regardless of whether or not the six people are related to one another.
The recommendations further advise that social gatherings (work Christmas parties, meeting old friends, gatherings of schools or clubs) should be kept to a minimum and if possible held outdoors. Again, a maximum of six would apply.
